Did you know that your body cannot lie to you?
You can consciously or unconsciously ignore and or dismiss what your body is telling you many ways...
We all do it, but are we all really aware of what our bodies are trying to tell us?
Are we truly aware of how much our bodies long for us to acknowledge the subconscious mind?
We are so mind based, so caught up in appearing/being positive that we completely dismiss that our bodies, ie: our subconscious mind are an integral part of obtaining balance in life.
Most people interpret the bodies part to mean exercise and diet.
What people don't realize is that there are so many little things you can do to work with your body, to enhance communication and self-trust between your body, egoic mind, and your spirit.
First, you can choose better foods and consume less toxic things like excess alcohol, sugars, starches, this alone shows your body that you consider it. Don't push yourself to diet, just slowly bring in change so that when you are ready you can diet if you want to or feel you need to.
Second, you can take walks, if you are inactive, start slowly, don't begin a vigorous activity that you know you won't stick to right away, start slowly with something that is gentle on your body. This shows your body you know its needs.
Third, expand you egoic mind with something out of your comfort zone, showing your subconscious that you are open to change, this openness can allow healing in.
Fourth, begin some form of meditation, even a walking meditation is beneficial, this teaches your egoic mind how to listen to your subconsciousness, meditation also connects you to the creator, your higher power, whoever that is for you.
Fifth, journal. Journaling is a form of connecting the mind, body, and soul. When you physically write what you are thinking or feeling you are letting your cells know you are listening. You are releasing toxins that are stored in the body because of over thinking.
We over think everything, for various reasons, we might not want to forget something or might want to understand something or are planning something that we are in a constant state of fear of forgetting. If we journal we release some fear, most everyone has had the experience of making shopping lists, once things are written down there is less fear of forgetting.
Sixth, not many people acknowledge this one , people put value in things that are of great quality, they are willing to go out of their way to acquire such things and when they do they are so excited about their choices and the success in acquiring whatever it was.
But what about self-work, this is a valuable endeavor?
This requires one to get out of their comfort zone, invest money, time and energy.
It can require one to drive 1hr to an event the could change their lives forever, most events around self-work do that!
This is the one thing not many people acknowledge, they drove an hour to work on themselves, they invested money on themselves, they invested time and then drove an hour home.
But they don't get excited about acquiring a small piece of themselves, they just focus on how hard it might have been and how much time they lost and how expensive that was.
Pretty interesting...
Can you see how we are dishonoring our body at times?
